Monkey Forest Ubud

Ubud Monkey Forest, also known as the Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal, is one of Ubud’s most popular attractions; a natural forest sanctuary that is home to a horde of grey long-tailed macaques.

The site is well preserved thanks to a community-based management program. The forest is also conveniently positioned near Ubud Town Centre, and within easy walking distance from guesthouses and resorts along the main roads of Jalan Hanoman and the namesake Jalan Monkey Forest.

Besides watching playful monkeys in their natural habitat, swinging through canopies, lazing along pathways or feeding on bananas, the site offers cool walks along paved pathways through a leafy nutmeg forest. Mount Batur is technically the whole ancient volcano, but today refers to the smaller volcano emerging out of the ancient caldera. An hour and a half may seem a distance to travel for lunch, but I can assure you it is worth it. Halfway into the journey, the AC was switched off and windows wound down and when we reached our destination our wobbly legs were thrilled to meet with the cool mountain air.

Welcomed warmly by the restaurant staff, we walked through the main hall where a huge buffet spread was laid out and made our way to the outside seating area where we were hit with by the scenery – a breathtaking 1,215 metre above sea level panoramic view of Lake Danu with Gunung Batur towering above her. Gunung Kawi Temple

Gunung Kawi Temple located on the River Pakerisan, Penangka Hamlet, Village Sebatu, Tegalalang District, Gianyar District, Bali Province, Indonesia. When thinking of a temple, perhaps that imagined in your mind is a whole building, composed of stone or brick red.

Taman Ayun – Royal Family Temple

Taman Ayun literally translates as ‘beautiful garden’ and is generally regarded as one of the most attractive temples of Bali. The Taman Ayun temple is situated in a beautiful park with trees and ponds, near the village of Mengwi in the south of Bali at about 8 km southwest of Ubud and 18 km northwest of Denpasar.

Pura Taman Ayun was built in 1634 by the Raja of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Putu. It is a socalled Pura Kawiten or family temple, a special temple where the deified ancestors of the Raja Dynasty of Mengwi and important gods of other temples are honored.

Lake Bratan and it’s Lake Temple

In Bedugul there is a beautiful Beratan Lake appeared around 1,239 meters above sea levels. Beratan Lake is located next to Mount Bratan and Mount Catur. It is the second largest lake in Bali. You can see directly because is located on the edge of highway Bedugul. Exactly located in CandiKuning Village, Baturiti District of Tabanan.

Beratan Lake is a lake that first passed when you come from Denpasar and about 300 meters from the Bedugul Botanical Garden. The lake is located on the right road when heading Singaraja. Beratan is perfect place for water sports such as para sailing, motor boating, jet skiing, water skiing, canoeing, etc. Bedugul fertile soil also produced abundance of plants and trees, some of them formed rain forests with their exotic birds, monkeys, and other creatures.

Jatiluwih – ricefield view
